About
Dodamarg is located in the southernmost tip of Maharashtra’s western ghats, bordering the trijunction of Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka. The landscapes are home to western ghats’ endemic flora and fauna and assemblage of multiple habitats. This unique location serves as an important wildlife corridor and is declared as a conservation reserve recognizing its importance is movement of Mammals. This area is home to hundreds of bird species some of which are rare and endemic to western ghats.
Itinerary
Day 1: Banda/Thivim – Dodamarg (45 mins road travel)
Pickup and drop will be arranged from Thivim Railway Station or Banda Bus Stand. Reach Dodamarg and check in at our homestay. Have lunch. Freshen up. After an orientation session, go for an evening trail in the property or by the riverside. Overnight in Dodamarg. (L,D)
Day 2: Dodamarg
Full day exploration of the forest region. Go for riverside hornbill trail in the morning. Return to homestay for lunch. In the evening go for owl trail in Talkat/Tillari forest. Return to homestay for dinner. Overnight in Dodamarg. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Dodamarg – Banda/Thivim
Go for morning trail in Tillari forest. Return to homestay for breakfast and check out. Depart for Banda/Thivim in your respective vehicles and board your transport for your home town. Tour ends.
