Ladakh - Land of High Passes
Overview
Ladakh, situated in the trans-Himalayan region of northern India, is a high-altitude cold desert defined by vast mountain ranges, deep river valleys,
glacial systems, and remote human settlements. Bordered by the Karakoram and Zanskar ranges, Ladakh presents a landscape shaped by extreme altitude, geological history, and resilient culture.
Characterised by stark terrain, ancient monasteries, high mountain passes, alpine lakes, and unique desert ecosystems, Ladakh offers a rare opportunity to experience wilderness, cultural heritage, and high-altitude environments in a single journey.
This expedition is designed to allow gradual acclimatisation, immersive travel across diverse regions, and meaningful engagement with Ladakh’s landscapes and communities.
